PIERRE, S.D. (KEVN TV) – Supporters of a proposed initiated measure to legalize marijuana in South Dakota can now circulate petitions.
The go-ahead comes after South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley published the official explanation that will be on the circulated petitions.
Sponsors need to collect 13,871 valid voter signatures by Nov. 6 for the measure to be placed on the ballot for the November 2018 general election.
The measure is entitled “An initiated measure to legalize all quantities of marijuana and to make other changes to State law involving marijuana.”
